Re: [RC] Quiet Nights at camp/Generators - Kathy RamspottI'll ditto this. The few rides I've been on I slept in my 4-runner. Generators were turned off at a descent hour but the dogs were not. Also, folks slamming their truck/car/trailer doors. No, they weren't really slamming them, it just sounds like that when you are trying to sleep. So from someone who literally heard every peep, generators never bothered me either but the dogs definitely made for difficult sleep. I have 3 and love them but would NOT bring them to a ride for just that reason. They might be the best behaved dogs in the world but they WILL bark at critters in the bushes. Not sure why one would expect a campout full of horses to be some sort of quiet like if one was back packing into a wilderness area. Dogs taken to rides should be sleeping next to their owners or left at home-IMHO! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
