Re: FW: [RC] horse sizes....etc - Dyane SmithMy experience is that, while they may not be quicker, a smaller horse can kinda scrunch himself up to the point that he seems to almost disappear out from under me. But, I also think there are variations. My 15.1 guy was not quick. Most of the time I just fell off because I do that. Seems like a bigger horse can be easier to stick with through horsey antics! It doesn't that always follows. While a smaller horse might be quicker, it's antics are normally not as powerful or as fast as a bigger horse. The lever is longer on a bigger horse when it spins and you are on the end of the spinning lever hence you are moving much faster. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
