Whew, that was a hard-won Turtle Award!!!  Pete is one tough opponent!  I had to wait and circle my horse right before the finish line until he crossed.  It can be pretty cut-throat here in Texas for turtle.  That one (Meanwhile Back at the Ranch) was my second in a row...I "won" my third consecutive turtle award at my next ride, which was my first 100 (Bluebonnet).  Fate intervened and a lost front shoe cost me a fourth turtle at Old Glory, breaking what was shaping up to be a nice run.

Here's warning you Pete...I'll be riding a new horse in the 50 day 1 at Lone Star this weekend, so if you're there, you'd better be in fightin' form for Turtle!  <VBG>
