Re: [RC] [RC] Being Prepared - Trailering Alone - Lucy Chaplin TrumbullWhat other things do I need to know in order to be prepared for trailering Karen - I trailer alone a lot and found my biggest problem was getting dopey at the wheel. For long trips I heartily recommend visiting your local library for a supply of books on tape - get a selection, so you can pick the one that is most interesting and switch if it's not keeping you interested. Another tool that is invaluable is a jiffy jack - strong plastic ramp that you can drive your trailer wheel onto to change the one next to it - much better than having to jack the trailer up. Oh, also make sure the lug nuts on your wheels weren't tightened by Mr Universe, or find out how to lengthen your lug wrench with a long tube to give you extra leverage - there's nothing more frustrating than being able to change a wheel - but not being strong enough to get the stupid nuts off.
