Re: [RC] What do you think when you are coming off? - Laney HumphreyTo avoid rope burns, I always wear gloves! Right now I'm partial to cheap roper's cotton gloves - very disposable and easy to find at Stateline.Laney rides2far@xxxxxxxx wrote: With me it's almost lays the trotting 90 mph, slam on the brakes and break left that gets me. I'm just cruising along and I suppose my first thought is, "Where's my horse?" Strange feeling when you're still hanging in the air and he's suddenly gone. My most common injury is the rope burn between the fingers where I hang onto the reins. I generally fly over his head and land squatting facing him in the trail. He runs backwards because a person just flew out of the sky and landed in front of him and that's shocking. I get a rope burn because I hang onto the reins when he does it. I know I'm kinda known for breaking the collarbone but those aren't from me falling off. Those are from him flippin with me. That's when I think, "Where's my horse's head?" =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
