Re: [RC] How to get horses who hate each other to get along - Laney HumphreyIf they have been just recently gelded, I'd wait several months, maybe as long as 6, to give the residual hormones times to leave their systems. But more importantly to give their brains time to adjust to the new state. In my experience, stallions have to learn to be horses after being gelded, especially if they haven't lived with other horses. I wouldn't be surprised if what she thinks is personal dislike between these two isn't just mutual lack of experience living/riding/dealing with other horses. She could start turning the horses out with other horses they do get along with then, as time goes by, introduce the two over a fence and watch to see what's happening. As they forget to be studdy, they may find they actually like each other.laney sandy rovane wrote: My friend has two recently gelded stallions who have =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
