[RC] Addiction to Tevis? - Sky Ranch


Very nice article, because the publicity is positive.  I got a kick out of the intro -- "Old Dusty wasn't much of a horse" yet "Old Dusty" carried the admitted inexperienced rider to a Tevis completion.
 
Nuff said, I think?  And, maybe even more telling -- the rider, Chuck Mather, is still riding Tevis.  Gee -- Julie Suhr and so many others are so right -- this trail must be addicting!   Enter this ride at your own risk ...  :-p
 
A side note -- I own my own Arabian because of Tevis.  After reading a Western Horseman article about the Tevis Ride, many years ago, I went in search of an Arabian and found my wonderful gelding.  I still haven't made it to Tevis (not my horse's fault!) but I have the best horse I've ever owned because of this historic ride.
