RE: [RC] Hot Feet - Kristen A FisherVery groovy experiment! Metal is an excellent temperature conductor so what you found stands to reason, but it also conducts heat away very quickly too so a movement onto a cooler surface will cool the shoe down quickly. Kristen When a shod horse is standing on hot pavement, the shoes very quickly become almost as hot as the pavement, about a degree less. The nails conduct heat too, and the clinches are about a degree lower in temperature than the shoe. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
