I talk often about Tomy-Tyme to my Counselor.
Thomas in Hebrew means Twin. Twin means 2. When 2 things of opposite
attractions occur i call it Tomy-Tyme. He says lets just call
it...'life'.
This past May 7 rode. 1 died on the
Trail and another was 'put down' a week later when it went the wrong way at a
normal shoeing and came out on a major highway, skid and scaped the hocks and
the stifles down to the bare cartilage and tho it could maybe have healed there
was no probablity it would ever be sound. With sadness the horse was put
down. Another coliced and all we had was water, electrolytes and
walking and eating grass. This one was saved.
Tomy-Tyme may not be a real event to you but over
the years its proven more real than false to me.
What i am trying to say is that the **** can happen
in your back yard, on a pleasure ride or at an event....any event, even the BH
who had never had a death in its History had 2 in 1 year. Does that stop
us from still going out? Some does and some not.
My latest Tomy-Tyme was when i got bit by a brown
recluse spider on my ankle on Friday and got an infection that had me
worried. 2 days later i got stung by the nastiest bee i ever met. It
hurt and pierced pain for over 12 hours and swelled up my ankle. Baking
Soda on both took away the pain and the infection. Since i am not Achilles
and need my heels and feet i worry about even stepping outside, but i must and i
do. I go out to the grill for a cookout and what do i see? A black
widow spider and a wasp nest. I killed them both.
I hope others don't have Tomy-Tyme except for the
positive that will blow your mind as you'd never think something that good could
ever happen twice.
