Re: [RC] Tent Camping & Safety - Linda S. FlemmerDiane, Mike & I have camped in a tent at rides for the last 21+ years. Fortunately we weren't in the tent at the time, but a lose horse DID run over our tent some years ago. Our only casualty was the tent and my overnight bag, thank goodness. As I mentioned in a previous post, we now situate the tent between the trailer & the unhitched truck for the barrier protection it provides. If we can set up camp near a solid fence line, we do that as well. I've been at about 30 rides as a rider or volunteer, mostly in a tent, and neither I nor anyone else at those rides was harmed by a loose horse. Let's hear from everyone who's been around a tent at a ride and a loose horse has stepped on someone in that tent... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
