Re: [RC] [RC] Reply to Wintec question - Lysane CreeHi Mel, The chair position refers to the position that certain saddles place you in when you are sitting in them - they will have the stirrup bar placed further forward on the saddle - this puts the rider in a position that is kind of like sitting on a chair - your legs are further out in front of you, rather than being more under you. I found that this was the case for me with the Wintec Endurance Pro, but at the same time, I have had the saddle for several years, liked it in every other way and was able to tolerate the position, so I'm not saying its a terrible saddle either. I don't think the original poster meant to say that her Wintec dressage saddle created that position either - just that she wanted to avoid getting a new saddle (perhaps another Wintec model) that would put her in that position. That's why I suggested the dressage model as probably her best bet. Given the opportunity to change styles of saddles, I want to go with a dressage model. The Endurance Pro I have been using just doesn't fit my current horse well and since I am going to get another saddle, I might as well get one that suits me as well. There are some other considerations for me wanting to go with a Reactor Panel, but if I were to get another Wintec, I would go with a dressage model as well. On a dressage saddle, the stirrup bar placement is such that your legs/feet are more under you. The Wintec Isabelle is a dressage saddle (unless I'm mistaken), so the stirrups would not be placed as far forward as on the Endurance Pro, and so you wouldn't have an issue with the so-called "chair position". Which is probably why you love your Wintec Isabelle LOL :) Hope that was helpful. Lysane Mel Cochran <brio_gal@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Dreaded chair position? I am lost on that one :-?
