Re: [RC] "natural" stamina/FT horse care - Laney HumphreyI'd agree that the horses that do well as field trial horses are genetically strong. I know almost nothing about field trials except what I've read online. It seems that field trials are more "hurry up and then wait" affairs than endurance rides are. This is much more like what a horse is genetically designed to do - go fast to get away from the cougar but then spend some time resting and grazing. Field trials sound like real tests of horses' stamina but in a pattern that suits horses' genetic engineering. So, with basic care, good horses can do well.Laney Ridecamp Guest wrote: Please Reply to: Ray O'Donohue rno2m@xxxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
