Like Amber, I am very near-sighted and I’m also astigmatic.  I have to ride in prescription sunglasses but I make sure that they are polarized.  I don’t do endurance but on show days I’m out in the sun all day.

 

 

My fiancée has a blue fit when I event in my sunglasses as he thinks it’s dangerous.  It’s more dangerous (for me) if I can’t see the fences and don’t make my stride.  It’s more dangerous (for him) to take my shades away and have me have a stop because I only realize at the last minute that I’m coming into the wrong fence and have to make a sharp turn!!! 

 

I ride in Ray Bans with prescription lenses.  My optom knows I use them for riding.  I can’t wear contact lenses as I get corneal ulcers.
