RE: [RC] Goofy question - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Sarah ximera2@xxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Do horses out on range in the wild founder on grass? I doubt it. The range has a couple of characteristics that make it unlikely. 1. The grass is a variety of "natural" grasses, weeds, and scrub. It's not over-seeded, overly rich grass that was created to fatten up cattle. 2. Horses on the range eat that grass all the time. They phase onto new spring grass as gradually as possible -- beginning with the first few bites as they appear. So no sudden changes to their digestive system. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
