[RC] dog attacks, cattle prods. - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Stacy msmots13@xxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Regarding cattle prods, my husband is a veterinarian and had to stitch up a pit bull that had been attacked by the owner's other pit bulls. (she had 6 -7). She said the only reason the dog needed stitches was that her cattle prod was out of batteries when the fight started and she had to run around the other side of the house to get the OTHER cattle prod to break it up. On a side note, Mike wanted to muzzle the dog and the owner replied "You don't need a muzzle, this is not nippy poodle." A few months later one of her "non nippy pit bulls" caused permanent nerve damage to a technician at another clinic. I do have to say, we rarely get a mean pit bull at our clinic. The nice thing about pit bulls are that they let you know right off if they don't like you. I don't know if I could ride with a cattle prod. Something like that would just be too tempting to use in an unethical manner...Go ahead, try to pass me on this narrow stretch of trail. Oops. tee hee. (And can you imagine what would happen if my husband and I rode together, both armed with cattle prods? It would not be pretty.) -Stacy =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
