RE: [RC] what do you take to a ride? don't forget those cold nites - Lori BertolucciDon't forget to check to see what the weather may be bringing...you may not be able to sleep very well the nite before a ride, but it sure seems like a lot longer nite when you are freezing your tush off! And make sure you have a good blanket for your horse if he has shedded out already. Just did the Save Our Trails ride this month, and a young newby was with us. I asked her the first nite there what she had brought to bed down in, as she was sleeping in the back of a horse trailer. She told me her sleeping bag was rated to 40 degrees. I asked if that was -40, and she said no, just 40. Now mind you, when we left to head to the ride, we were in a snow storm. Needless to say, she got very cold that nite, even with the extra blankets we could muster up for her. She did have enough blankets for her horse tho'. Lori B. I have living quarters with a heater :) Rae Callaway <tallcarabians@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: You know, I did this, but since I got the new trailer, which I couldn't park
