I came from a very strong background of dressage/combined training and
showed my horse at Arab shows in the hunter/jumper classes. My first
lessons as a child were on gaited Saddlebreds and I also had a mare I
gamed. About 18 years ago I saw an ad in the local paper for a ride
that was nearby. I called and asked if I could hook up with
someone because I didn't have a trailer, and they said they'd send someone
to pick me up since I was only a few miles away. That person was Art
Priez, and he wouldn't let me pay him anything. I felt welcomed and at
ease from the very start, and have never wanted to do anything else!
