[RC] Buck Brannaman - Kathy Ramspott

My husband got me Buck Brannamans book Believe.   I had heard of him, kind of, but now my interest is peaked.  Has anyone ever seen any of his horse training videos or been to one of his clinics?  If so what where your impressions, was he helpful?

Libby, do the Wintec reins have a buckle in the middle?

I absolutely love the Wintec cushion grip reins. If there is any pulling, it's not my hands that get shredded. I find that it is no problem to just unbuckle one side when I want to tail. They are easy to hold in all kinds of weather, don't absorb moisture and hold up well. At $36.50 I suspect they compare favorably pricewise too.  Libby

Well, these were on a relatively new set of Zilco reins.....trust me, they weren't cheap!  I can operate them right now and they feel very secure and sturdy.  Only thing I can think of is they caught on some part of the bit (both at the same time!??) and got jerked open.  They are definitely in mint condition. Is that weird, or what?

Sylvia (I'm replacing them anyway, but I also don't think I'll use those reins without gloves ever again....once we switched to halter mode, I had to pull pretty hard to slow him down and I have a nasty raw spot on the ring fingers of both hands)
