"Just found out through Matt Thompson, Georgia Department
of Agriculture that 10 Quarter Horses, all mares were found in a pasture
in Freehome, Wyatt Road at Hwy 20, North of Alpharetta, at a private
farm.
The owner of the farm has no idea who owns the horses and called
the Department of Agriculture to help with the situation. The horses are
in excellent condition.
Two of the mares, one palomino and one
paint, have foals by their sides that are also palomino and paint. There
are also four bays, a roan (red/white), and a chestnut with a flaxen mane and
tail. They are believed to be stolen, and subsequently dumped on this
lady's property. Three of them are shod and someone has taken good care of
them.
If you could forward this email around to your equine lists, maybe
someone knows something.
