Having just done a 6 day trail ride (not endurance related) half way on my
14.2 mare and the other half on a 14.3+ a little QH...I promise that extra inch
makes a lot of difference when you're getting on!! Oh please, give me back
my 'little' mare!!
In my mind, the ultimate proof that shorter is pretty gosh
darned good is John Parke and his 2 Icelandics, Remington and
Skoldur. (The horses are short, John isn't!) John has over
11,000 miles on his 2 trusty "ponies" and they are still going
