I know who was present during the whole scene. You "know" this but do not choose to share it, you prefer to just suggest, with innuendo, that Bev wasn't where she "should" have been -- and therefore doesn't care for her horse? There's a name for that, and it isn't pretty. I feel that great horse deserves to be allowed to live a wonderful non-stressful life after that. Hmmm, that speaks volumes ... do you really believe that competing in endurance rides is a bad experience for a horse, that a horse is "rewarded" by not being ridden in endurance again? Funny, most of the endurance horses I see enjoy what they are doing. I do not feel it was hateful. I do. If you had any understanding of what that horse went thru, you'd wish the same for him. I have some understanding of what the horse went through, and what *I* wish for him is a full recovery, including being able to return to competition if that's what Bev thinks is best for him. If it was a international rider instead of an american rider, ridecampers would want the rider banned. This Ridecamper will not attack any rider, regardless of nationality, over having a horse injured or in life-threatening trouble *without regard to the circumstances.* In this world, sometimes bad things happen to good and caring people. -- Joe Long jlong@xxxxxxxx http://www.rnbw.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
