I have always heard that rhubarb, containing oxalic acid, was poisonous to 
animals, but someone forgot to tell the deer around here and they ate ALL 
the leaves off recently.  Of course, it will all come back from the roots, 
but we'll have to find a way to keep the deer out in the future.  Never had 
this problem before, and we've had the rhubarb patch for many years.
