RE: [RC] [RC] Rice Bran & Beet Pulp - Laurie DurginIs it stablized Rice Bran. ? Susan G. told us , that regular rice bran is rancid almost as soon as it is bagged. (Feel guilty here as I used to feed it.);0)-- I do believe it can also delete Vitamin E is my notes are right. It does have a high Phosphrous... I have a TB too (20) same foot thing>g< I finally was able to cut his pellets down , by feeding him Beet pulp and oil 2X a day. He also stopped his tendency to colic when we did. He now only gets 5 lbs of pellets per feeding when he used to get 10 at a feeding years ago. About 1-2 Cup cooking oil (i buy at Sams and worked up to slowly)- Handful of so of Alfalfa pellets, and about 2 lbs of beet pulp soaked. And free choice fescue/bermuda hay--average quality.Could feed more beet pulp-- but I have to carry his bucket in one hand and the other 3 horses in the other hand (arabs & crorses of course), so I limit the beetpulp by volume :0) From: "Lisa" <lisa@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [RC] Rice Bran & Beet Pulp Date: Mon, 24 Jan 2005 16:10:35 -0700 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
