Re: [RC] TWH as endurance horses - Truman PrevattMystic Storm, 16 hand, 1050 pound black TWH, almost 2000 miles including 6 one day 100's, two seconds, one first and a BC probably close to 45 to 50 percent top 10. Her career was shorten since she was a mare and had to go do the "mother thing." Could she recover? She did a 3:41 50 in South FL and was down as soon as I got tack ripped off after galloping into the check. She had incrediable recoveries - but she also started off with a 26 resting pulse rate.It just depends on the horse. As Ed says, rack on! Truman Ed Kilpatrick wrote: terry, a TWH is a very good choice for endurance. many of them do well at it. as for the question, would a 15 hand TWH cool down quicker than a 16 hand TWH, well, it isnt related as much to height/size as it is individual body composition, conditioning level, and athleticism. tell her to get out there and RACK ON! ed -- “Many people consider the things government does for them to be social progress but they regard the things government does for others as socialism.” Earl Warren =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
