RE: [RC] Hurricane Fallout - Jim HollandBush doesn't make decisions based on logic and valid information. He has proved that over and over. Iraq and stem cell research come to mind. He "consults a higher power". Wonder what "higher power" he consulted in this case? It's like the story about the guy sitting on the roof of his house in a flood. A helicopter came by and offered a rescue. He said, "No, I'm fine. God will provide." Two boats came by and offered a rescue and he gave them the same answer. Soon, the floodwaters rose and he drowned. When he got to Heaven, he said, "Lord, why didn't you save me?". The Lord replied, "I sent you a helicopter and two boats. What else did you want?" He knew...and had enough warning to deal with it...he chose not to. He had many examples of what was going to happen in Iraq...Viet Nam comes to mind...and chose to ignore that as well. His election may have been the will of the people, and hindsight is 20/20, but he follows his own personal agenda, which is NOT in the best interests of our country. JMHO. The President of the US and FEMA and HOME LAND SECURITY knew, they were briefed on exactally what would happen in New Orleans if a catagory 4 or above hurricane would hit, right down to the levies failing and the body count. Go hide your head in the sand and pray a natural dissaster does not hit your town. And the Army Corp of Engineers was adamant about the potential, particularly with a severe storm season prediction, when their funding was cut. They (George Bush, FEMA, HOME LAND SECURITY and on down the chain) gambled, even though the odds were stacked against them. They were gambling with our money, too. With the warm water temp in the Atlantic, this is probably just be the first of many bad storms of the year....
