[RC] Interval Training - k s swigartKim Fuess said: Just curious as how others incorporate speed work in their long distance training. I go out and gallop around in the hills. Run up the hills and "recover" by walking or trotting down. Things go up and down enough around here that the intervals work out just fine. I also do a similar thing by galloping when the footing is good and recovering when the footing gets bad, and there is enough good and bad footing around here to make those intervals work out just fine too. Not only is this excellent conditioning. It's a lot of fun too. kat Orange County, Calif. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
