Re: [RC] Freeway Horse Travel - Diane TrefethenI have unloaded at rest stops in CA and never encountered any problems doing so. Look for truck stops. A lot of California freeways pass though rural and farm land. Take any exit that also has an onramp, drive down the road a bit and pull over. No one out in the country will mind your giving your horses a break.Idahomountains54@xxxxxxx wrote: We are planning a trip from our home in Boise to a small town north of San Fransisco. We've hauled horses to local trails, events and camping spots but where do you unload them just to stretch their legs, get some water, etc. when you are traveling on the freeway? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
