[RC] broken terrain re any/all horse activities - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

It occurs to me lately that nearly every "organized" horse activity is
conducted on a prepared surface or at worst "a trail".We've been talking about
maintaining gaits,favorite type of gaits,etc:when traveling in rocky or grassy
areas where neither you nor the horse can see the ground,and it is riddled with
little gulleys or downed sapling branches-is your favorite gait still the way
to go? Can your horse maintain his gait in that sort of terrain? This is where
I think the Running Walk is really the best gait,if you need to travel quickly.
I love to watch the eventing videos,but I would like to see more "tight"
in-and-out "stair-step" sections where a horse would have to go quickly at very
slow speed.
