[RC] 4runners and horsetrailers - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Lauretta tikitiki69@xxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== I drive a 99 4runner and pull a 2h bumper pull. Have not had any problems whatsoever with manuevering and stopping when I need to. I live in CA, and have driven up to Dru Barner by Georgetown, Whiskeytown up by Redding, over to Reno and Tahoe on I80, and up to the Tevis area in it w/ no issues. I have a V6 w/ 4wd. Granted, I am not hauling a huge trailer, but if you are not either it may be the rig for you. I WOULD say that you do need to use your brakes a little on steep downhill, but this is minimized if you are in low gear as well. Max speed on steep uphill in high gear is about 55 /60, but with a horse why would you want to go faster?? I like driving a smaller rig because it is SOOO much easier to park, etc, at rides, and as I go alone most of the time, I just camp out in the back of it. Lauretta and Shaba (as long as there is food I don't care what I am riding in) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
