Re: [RC] Girly Truck Feedback; Toyota? - Laney HumphreyWhen I consider a truck for hauling, I'm interested in it's long term abilities. Lots of trucks can haul quite a heavy load for a while, but long-term, they wear out & cause big repair bills, to say nothing of not being safe! It's the braking capability more than the pulling ability that's the most important!Laney Diane Trefethen wrote: Don't know about the Tundra but in 1991 I hauled a 15.3h horse, hay, portable corral and gear over the Sierras from La Honda, CA, to the Derby Ditch in Fernley, NV, and back and averaged 20 mpg... with a V6 Toyota 1-ton. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
