Put on running boards!!!  My current truck came with them and I love it!
Actually, it's a sturdy pipe kind of thing, not a "board."  It sure 
makes getting up and in a breeze.  That reminds me of another reasons I 
love my GM trucks: they aren't raised up to the sky.  My 4WD is only 
high enough for good clearance; it doesn't look like some hot rodder's 
cloud banger.
