I drove 2200 miles last week and there was huge
discrempancy on fuel prices, with diesel less than gas at many. Most did
have diesel at higher cost. WA state definitely has some HIGH gas prices.
I have been a penny pincher for yrs. However, back in 1981 in CO, reg gas
was $1.19. I know my income has definitely increased since then.
What chaps my hide is the fact of how fast it goes up. Must be some
'rigging' in there somewhere. Have not heard what the prices in Europe are
though. They were already at $4-5.
> Also, our diesel prices are the same as our gas prices.
They were > higher, but never over $3.00 a gallon.
Gosh, I guess
I'll quite bellyaching. Out here in the back of beyond where the
prices tend to be a lot higher than what we can get at truck stops along
the freeway, we are paying $2.57 for regular unleaded and $2.79 for
diesel. It always frosts me that the diesel prices are higher, since
it costs less to refine it, but sounds like we're not doing as badly here
as many other places.
To put this in perspective, my husband
still spends a bit of time in his native Denmark, and he reports prices
there the equivalent of $8 to $10 per
gallon....
