Just put the pills down the dogs throat. I have the dog sit in front of me
and hold on to the collar with my left 3 fingers. the thumb and index finger
of the left hand are used to open the dog's mouth.  The right hand thumb and
index finger hold the pill and the other 3 fingers keep the mouth open as
you put the pill down the dogs throat. you put the pill way in the back of
the mouth and partially down the throat. .  Do this quickly and matter of
fact.  No need to hide pills in food.  Dogs do not develop an aversion to
this technique and it works every time.  Now cats are another matter!!!
