Re: [RC] tack and gear that worked on Tevis - Karen Sullivan----- Original Message ----- From: "Jonni" <jonnij@xxxxxxxx> I know some folks love to brag about how well their horse did at a ride with certain hi-tech fancy saddles, tack, foot care etc.> to the horse and riders success. So, I thought I'd share with you, what worked for ME, and helped my horse and I finish Tevis last week. Saddle: Cordura and leather Big Horn endurance saddle. New, they run under $600. Hi Jonni, Many congrats on finishing Tevis, quite an accomplishment!. Re: the Big Horn, curious what you think of stirrup position?; I seem to remember a friend had one back in mid 90's.....to me it seemed like stirrups were too far forward and put her in a "chair" seat; which would mean difficult to post balanced....so am wondering if they changed that design any or if you can comment...
