Re: [RC] AHRA registration papers not recognized for export - warning! - Sisu West Ranch
This dispute all boils down to the purpose of a given
registry. Some registries are set up just to record the known ancestry of
horses. Some are set up to develop a breed. Some are set up to preserve a
certain genetic heritage. Some are set up to feed the egos and pocket books of
rich persons.
The AHRA (and its predecessor) believe that it was set up to preserve and
document the genetic heritage of the Arabian horse. It is carefully doing that,
even in the face of expensive lawsuits. I personally agree with them.
By the way, what has happened to the Arabian registry set up a few years ago
specifically to accept these impure South American
horses?
