Re: [RC] Ford trucks - engine details - 2003 - Sisu West Ranch
"...Jeeze, fine - sure blame it on the software guys..."
One of my sources, a Ford diesel votech instructor,
says that they were also having problems with the fuel pressure
transducer. It was responding to pulsations in the fuel line. The
fix was partly software, and eventually they moved the sensor to a new
place.
All vehicle makers issue various levels of recall
when problems are found. Even if your vehicle is running fine, it doesn't
hurt to have the service manager run the VIN through the computer system
periodically and find out if there are any bulletins on your vehicle. Some
of them are things that will be better if fixed, but are not told to owners
unless a problem surfaces.
