In MT here we have been watching a legal battle that dates back a decade, and is not settled yet, over whether a certain water course is a ditch or a stream. If it is a ditch, the owner of the land can do whatever he wants, but if it is a stream he needs permits to do anything and much let fisherpersons come onto his place.If there is a good ford, your horses will probably use it in preference to the bridge. Also expect that that back pasture will get less use than the front.
