Re: [RC] long toe/low heel - ShermanMy vet said the shoer is doing a good job, but it only lasts for that shoeing, and at the end of the 6 weeks, the toe's too long , then looks good after shoeing again. This is the first horse I've ever had with the problem, so I don't really know if my expectations are too low or not. Is it truely "fixable" or is it just a condition that is dealt with at each shoeing? I did find the person who owned this horse as a 3-6 yr old (he's 14 now), and she said at that time he had the condition also.Will pulling the shoes make his heels tend to get lower due to wear, even if he is trimmed properly?
