Re: [RC] long toe/low heel - Kristen A FisherIsn't the only way to really know how far back to take the toe is through x-rays?Kristen ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sherman" <sherman@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Truman Prevatt" <tprevatt@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Cc: "Ridecamp" <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, July 07, 2005 7:27 PM Subject: Re: [RC] long toe/low heel My vet said the shoer is doing a good job, but it only lasts for that shoeing, and at the end of the 6 weeks, the toe's too long , then looks good after shoeing again. This is the first horse I've ever had with the problem, so I don't really know if my expectations are too low or not. Is it truely "fixable" or is it just a condition that is dealt with at each shoeing? I did find the person who owned this horse as a 3-6 yr old (he's 14 now), and she said at that time he had the condition also. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
