Specialized Saddle would be an excellent choice - you can get a demo and
try it (he even sends shims so you can do your fitting while you've got it) and
the cost of the demo minus shipping is taken out of your saddle order when
placed or refunded to you, great program and lets you know how it's going to do
on multiple horses if that's your situation, too. I highly recommend the
silver stirrups - the cushion is much cushier than the other ones and very easy
on the feet and knees. Sometimes you can even buy the demo and get a
little discount on it, too - my demo was pretty much what my order was so he
gears it towards what you're needing/wanting. They are excellent quality
saddles and you can pretty much design it how ever you want it, english style
(international) or western, horn, tooling, leathers or fenders, etc,
etc...
I have one horse with very wide, but high, withers and then a
dip in his back. I would not call it swayback, just a pronounced
dip. So much so that my Sportsaddle doesn't give an even sweat
pattern. Would the Specialized be a saddle to try for that
problem?
I had been reluctant to get a new saddle until we finish rehab
for the chip in his fetlock, but I guess I'm also concerned that he might
need a good fit in order to rehab. (Only downside is finding which
one and the dollars flying, jetting out of my
wallet)
