[RC] pace and shoeing - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Ray O'Donohue rno2m@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Laura: Just one correction;you have the weight thing reversed: If they tend toward the pace, which 99% of them do,you weight the front and/or UN-weight the back. Thus, the reccomendation for the barefoot rear hooves. The barefoot rear hooves lack of weight and the much faster breakover of the bare hoof will speed up the timing of the rears in relation to the fronts, moving that pace timing closer to that of the stepping pace,or if a stepping pace, toward that of the Running Walk. P.S.WE ARE SPEAKING OF THE NORMAL WEIGHT OF "ORDINARY" SHOES.NO WEIGHT BEYOND THAT AMOUNT SHOULD BE USED. THERE IS A SPECIAL PLACE IN HELL FOR THE BIG LICK TWH SHOW PEOPLE.DON'T GET ME STARTED... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
