Thanks very much for the photos, Lucy. Other
than insulation, what my trailer needs most is a "bedside table"
like yours. I don't know anyone taking a woodworking class, so I'll have
to see what else I can conjure up. My
trailer nose is tapered, so the mattress will not fit cross-wise like yours
and thus the head of my bed is up in the nose. I can put my mug
of tea (or something stronger) up on the side of the platform while I
climb onto the bed, but then, after lying down, there's no place to
put it where I can reach it but won't subsequently knock it
over. Yech!
I think you should take out the peg board
under your mattress. Just think of all the entertainment you could provide
to nearby campers with even a modest imagination.
One suggestion -- get a fire extinguisher
and mount it where it can be reached either from bed or while standing on the
floor.
