My parents gave up asking me what I wanted for my birthday or for Christmas. The answer was always the same.Imagine my reaction when I came home from school and there was a gorgeous pony in my back yard. I was sure God Himself had delivered this pony to me. Alas, it had wandered away from the last farm in our neighborhood... an area that was being eaten up with subdivisions. Years later, when i was 13, my for real first horse was in my back yard when I got home from school. She looked just like Little Joe Cartwright's pinto. chris I have always loved horses.......I drove my mother crazy by always wearing out my pant's knees because I was always pretending I was a horse and would crawl around on all 4's. I always wanted one, and like you Chris, That was all I wanted...I drew tons of pictures of the pony I wanted. Carvel use to have a contest where a colt or filly was drawn at the NY horse show and I was always at the ice cream store stuffing the box. I never did get my own horse until last June when I bought JJ (arabian gelding 4 yr old). So I finally had my dream come true at 40 something!
