Re: [RC] saddle for gaited endurance horse - Karen SullivanSport saddles basically have no twist, as they conform to shape of horses backs..... Some of the other treeless do manange to build in more of a twist....the Freeform has a foam moulded seat that drops your leg down more like an English saddle, as does the Sensation pad. The Sbs Flexion also has a twist built in, and set back stirrups. I hear the Barefoot also has more of a twist than a Torsion; so they are all different..... I got my very first sport saddle from a gal who was having severe hip pain.....and they never botherd me after the first two weeks. But in an English saddle, I absolutely need a narrow twist, otherwise my seatbones are not in right place... I was under the impression that treeless saddles have a "wide" twist. My hips need a narrow twist and this is why the OF saddles worked for me.
