Re: [RC] saddle for gaited endurance horse - Karen WilliamsI also like a narrow twist, but nothing was working for my horse. You do sit wider in the Barefoot saddle, but my horse is only 14 hands, so it is not at all uncomfortable and took very little adjustment on my part. I loved the OF saddles and have two of them -- an Express Lite (too long for my horse's back) and an Endurance Cutback, which is short enough, but my horse hates it. I did go for a short ride on my 20-year old Arab who is a 15h blimp just to see what the Barefoot saddle felt like on him and it was very comfortable. Karen Karen Williams Spotsylvania, VA www.mattariver.com Quoting Mary Sutliff <mtnriderII@xxxxxxxxx>: I found I needed a saddle with a narrow twist for my comfort. I was under the impression that treeless saddles have a "wide" twist. My hips need a narrow twist and this is why the OF saddles worked for me. Any comments on twist? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
