RE: [RC] [RC] [RC] Michel Bloch & Death Valley Encounter - terry banisterFalling off the horse is not the only reason for needing a helmet. I would probably be a goner right now if it weren't for the helmet saving me from an OVERHANGING TREE LIMB with an 10'" diameter. At a fast trot, I ducked for oncoming branches and, since my head and eyes were down, did not see that there was a second, huge, tree limb, and I came up right in front of it. Now I know the meaning of the term "seeing stars!" Destroyed the helmet and nearly knocked me backward off the horse. If you are riding unfamiliar trail, and it iis springtime, and the trails are all overgrown, you may not know when the big ones are coming.
