RE: [RC] Ponying - Mary Orosz

Thanks.  That was what I was afraid of. I was hoping there was some kind of
quick release knot that could be used.

DO NOT tie the rope to your saddle or anything else.  Hold the rope, 
even if it is a "pain in the neck."  It's the only safe way to pony.  
And if something bad happens, let go of the rope.  A friend was ponying 
and the horses acted up, rope got pulled across the lead horse, man 
didn't let go and he was swept off the lead horse.  Accident was so bad, 
he will never be able to ride a horse again.
