One of them is really picky about the taste of whatever I'm squirting in his mouth. For those of you who do the purge this way, have your horses reacted negatively to the taste, or does it seem akin to water? Have any of you added anything to the Safe-Guard for taste? Five of our horses react to it about like they do normal paste wormers, that is, with horror at the thought that we're trying to poison them. <G> The usual raised heads, pinched lips, etc. But it's so liquidy that it's actually harder for them to spit out - just tip their heads up and they have to swallow it. The sixth horse, my 3 yr old gelding, was being a snotball and I was by myself trying to dose everyone, so after the first night I just squirted his dose in his food and he ate it with no problem, so I don't know that it tastes too bad. Of course, he'd probably eat a pan of dirt and sawdust if I sat it in front of him. <G> Food is his life...shouldn't have any problem with him in the eating department once he starts doing rides. :) Dawn in East Texas and Sundance (he with the healthy appetite) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
