[RC] (review) Rebirth: Easy Come Easy Go “Turkey Trot” Bonita, CA - Jena WilliamsRebirth: Easy Come Easy Go ?Turkey Trot? Bonita, CAThis was a wonderful ride! I completed the LD, 11th place, total time 4.5 hours. Weather: lows in the 30?s, high in the 60?s. Partly cloudy Trails: Varied. Brushy single track, to wide jeep type roads. Water crossings. Terrain: Mostly rolling hills, with some technical sections and some gentle areas Footing: Varied. Soft loam, mud, sand, packed dirt, rocky Campground: Established equestrian campground with corrals, showers, etc. Trail Markings: Great. Only a couple confusing spots. Considering there was a problem with vandalism, the management compensated very well. Pulse criteria: 56 Difficulty: Moderate (IMO) Summary: This ride turned out great, and is sure to improve! The weather was beautiful, crisp and cool. The trail was excellent, full of variety that kept you on your toes. Between the changes of terrain and footing, you had to ride with thought and lots of changing ?gears?. Not a ride you can do on ?cruise control?. Green grass was everywhere, water was not provided on the trail, but was not needed (IMO) due to the abundance of natural water. This will be one of my favorites, on par with Manzanita though maybe a bit more difficult due to the variety of terrain, trail type, and pulse criteria. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
