Re: [RC] [RC] cold feet and hands - AprileBay is a nice place to look. I bought a case of 50 pairs for 42 bucks after shipping. The seller sells lots of them. Another thing I do to make them last longer is when I come back in after a 2 or 3 hour ride, I put the packs immediately into a ziplock bag and squeeze all the air out to preserve some of the heating action so I can use them again. Granted, the used packs are stiffer, but still work for me. They seem to work ok in my gloves and I usually put new ones in my shoes. I went to REI and bought thin caps that are made to go under ski helmets. I also bought a thin, soft face mask in the same department. I bought a slightly thicker one from Altrec.com that is very nice, too. Depending on the weather, I wear one cap, one face mask, two caps, or one cap and the face mask. I have an adjustable helmet, so just make it a smidgeon bigger in the winter to accomodate 2 thin ski caps. Both these things helps me a lot (in addition to layering of proper materials that others have said). I hate being cold. I think 50 degrees is cold. ;-) April Nashville, TN On Tue, 30 Nov 2004 14:37:31 -0800, Catherine Pritchett <danugna@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Here's a place that has both adhesive and packets, toe, foot, hand or body warmers- http://www.grabberwarmers.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PLST =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
